Serbia-Germany political relations "improve significantly"

PM Aleksandar Vucic and German Ambassador Axel Dittmann Thursday highlighted the significance of regional stability and cooperation as part of EU integration. Vucic and Dittmann discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, the situation in the region and Serbia's European integration, and agreed that political relations between Serbia and Germany had improved significantly, the Serbian government press office said in a statement. Vucic "expressed his gratitude to Chancellor Angela Merkel and Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel on the support they provide to Serbia, both on its European path and to the stabilization of the situation and cooperation in the Western Balkans, in particular through the Berlin process," the Serbian government announced. Dittmann "confirmed Germany's support for Serbia's accession process to the European Union." They both "highlighted the importance of regional stability and cooperation in the context of EU integration" and "emphasized the good economic cooperation between Serbia and Germany, which can be seen through more German investments that bring large numbers of new jobs for Serbian workers." Vucic and Dittmann "expressed confidence that this trend will continue to the mutual benefit." @b92
